Dec 31, 2012. #1. Having trouble starting the 6300. The tractor quit starting-would'nt turn over. Used a Small piece of wire to cross the post on the starter and it started right up. After running the tractor for about an hour shut it off and it started back up. Tried to start it an hour later and it would'nt turn over.john deere 6400 hydraulic problems. With new pump, i have good pressure. I also replaced the fuel line from the pump to the filter. Bled air from line and filter and tractor started right up.If a 2 shift lever powerquad, take the gear shift out of park and when shift lever is moved from neutral to first gear forward or first gear reverse the shift linkage underneath should move again.
