Machine shop said the cracks could be fixed but he knew of a head trhat had been checked out and ready to have valves put for $300.Both were 8060s I had $400 invested and the old head . I bought a cliking torque wrench at an Auto Value for $22 .

Put manifold pictures on. 3 rib 450 gas, painted tractor 400 gas, LP tractor one started on late M, used SM and SMTA gas and LP on SM. Unpainted tractor one used on most M tractors. Would need to check but going by memory I don't think the LP manifold pictured in other post started until part of the SM LP tractors.

Other models like M and SM fire crater kits used 22 degrees total advance. IH preferred the total advance be set at full RPM and idle advance fall wherever unless the distributor was warn.
