Arrows are hands down the most efficient and quick method of doing so. 1- Far cheaper to craft, far cheaper to fix 1-2 ascendant crossbox than a single asc longneck. 2- Torpor stops being applied by time the gun has been realoded (longneck), thus wasting a lot of ammo when the gun lags the hell out, won't reload, etc.

Taming the Giganotosaurus is similar to taming any carnivore, by knocking it out, and then feeding it to tame it. While torpor is increasing, all torpor loss is halted entirely. I knocked out a giga while waiting 3-4 seconds between shots just fine. If torpor from tranqs lasts 5 seconds, then you are fine till that 5th second. Posted March 27, 2019. You cant take a Giga to a boss fight outside of Extinction. But if you are planning to do the boss fights on extinction, you should not ride the Giga. I think its rage meter is not increasing, when not ridden. But if you want to take the Giga to the Boss fights, do some breeding first.
