Reaction score. 32. In my opinion before pulling the 350, mark all your wires. You will reuse the temp sender and oil sender for the gauges. Also need the wire down to the starter. My harness is a modified stock LS harness, and it is stand alone. I'm still figuring out how to get my speedometer to work.

I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. The truck accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds are an easier swap into a truck. Going 6L look for a k2500 in the yards that was hooked to a 6.0 for the nv4500. For an LQ9 I think you are looking for Escalade or Denali donars.

Get adapter for oil sending unit. And on coolant temp you can add a stock range sensor to pass side of ls or you can change the ls temp sensor for the f body 3 wire but it gauge is off 10ish degrees.
