The buttons on my FOB no longer work, but the car still recognizes the …I ordered this Key Fob for my 2008 Mazda 6, a few days later I received the unit and went to a local key shop here in Tucson and had the key cut and the fob programmed for my car. The unit worked perfectly. The local Mazda car dealer wanted to charge me $180.00 for the fob/key unit plus cutting the key and the programming.As an update though, I was able to use the ignition method to program an old key fob I had from a 2000 Explorer that was never used. (we got 3 with the car) So now all I need to buy is a key with a transponder and not the integrated key... That should save me $100 as the dealer quoted me $90 for the key alone not knowing I had the integrated key.
