There's a lot of background information in the game that's purely optional; you'll come across books ... With DLC it's 25-30 hours of Deus Ex fun. Well I mean as you said, this is a Deus Ex sub and we will recommend every Deus Ex game lol. But having played both the games, I'd say go for MD (WITH DLC, because they are some of the best levels of the game). Mankind Divided has one of the best hub worlds and the story follows well from Human Revolution.
