Seamoth is more useful imo. I used it as my main vehicle for everything right down to it's max depth limit, for everything else I used Cyclops and Seaglide. I basically only ever used the Prawn for going inside the lava castle, and for mining obviously.

I've heard that unlocking the vehicle upgrade module will unlock all of the depth modules for the Seamoth, but I only have one of them which I got from the Aurora.
