Hi. I have just encountered this ‘Unexpected Error’ message when trying to update my Sonos Controller on a Mac Mini running MacOS Ventura 13.4.1. It’s far from the first time. Looking at this thread the Sonos update problem has been ongoing for months. Quark does not have such a persistent update problem. Nor do other 3rd-party apps.Answer. Delete your current version of the Mac app. Go to Sonos.com and download and install a fresh version. They’re currently investigating why the Mac app is unable to self update. I am getting a 701 as well. As we speak I can play spotify from the spotify app on my mac through the sonos speakers connected to the same wifi. The sonos app shows this playing so it is connected. but if i try to play anything from spotify on the sonos app it fails with the 701.
