The door lock cylinder is to manually release the door latch should the car's battery be dead or the transmitter not be able to identify you to the vehicle. If it's both fob's, batteries don't help and none of the fob buttons work either, I think a dealer may be get to the source the quickest. It could still be the fuse protecting the RCNDLR (or whatever) or the fob's may need to be rematched or worse.
