Feb 26, 2017. #1. Hello everyone. I've done a bunch of searches not only here but also general google searches trying to get some certainty on this to no avail. I've got a Husky (Speeco) 22 ton log splitter with a Briggs 650 Series 190CC engine (Model 124T02-0121-B1) on it. After 7-8 years and many many hours of service it's time to replace it.I have a Huskee 22 Ton Log Splitter with a vertical shaft B&S engine that needs to be replaced. I'm having trouble sourcing a new one. I've called around and everyone tells me that I need to have an engine with a heavy flywheel for this type of application. It has the correct shaft diameter and length, however it lacks a heavy flywheel.
It is a Leeson catalog # 120554 - 230 volt - 20.8 Full Load Amp. I used the open drip proof motor because the TEFC electric motors were more money. I also put a cover over the motor and pump.
