P0340 is Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit. It will not set the same code for camshaft sensor error, that has its own set of codes for crankshaft errors. Basically it is not seeing a signal from the camshaft because its not seeing the completed circuit. Sensor or wiring issue most likely.

There is no code for crank sensor or anything like that. The only codes are: P0090, P0193, U0105, U0106. Then a couple that say stuff about class 2 data link, front wheel speed sensor, and outside temp sensor, but these only show up when i read the codes with my V2. The other ones come up on my edge CTS monitor and the v2.
