Very dead as well, but has almost like a muffled noise at shot. If anyone has been near a Hoyt shooter in the last 2-3 years, you know what I mean. They are both very nice bows, but the CP30 draw cycle in comfort and the BT grip would probably sway me towards the Bowtech. The Phase 4 will be quieter, deader and faster. And by “higher,” I mean over $1,000. Hoyt has quite a few compound bows that go for close to $2,000, but they also have a few that price at less than $500. As for Mathews, their lowest-priced bow for 2019 is still above $800. For those willing to spend some serious cash on a quality bow, $800 isn’t a huge sacrifice.

I was hell bent on getting the new Matthews and went in and shot 5 different bows and ended up leaving with a Hoyt VTM Reply reply ... I shot the RX-7 and the Phase 4 before going with a Mathews.
