My medical RFE response was delivered to NSC on Aug 19th but the status was only updated on Aug 25th. So yes it takes some time to update online but I'm not sure how long is too long. I'd advise t give USCIS a call or chat with Emma, in my case they confirmed receiving my package even before the status was updated online.My field office is Orlando.
