It works with Midi but it really only works if you're not fast-forwarding rolls since it's adding a little message to the dialog. If you're fast-forwarding rolls then that dialog is skipped. Your midi-qol settings work in my environment. I'm using an adult red dragon attacking the Zanna PC from the compendium in the 5e system and it works. You should double check and update DAE, socketlib, and libWrapper. If that doesn't work, I suggest maybe backup and deleting settings.db in your world folder.
