HISTORY. Phi Sigma Rho National Sorority was founded in 1984 at Purdue University as the first social sorority for engineers. The vision of Phi Sigma Rho is to be the foremost sorority for women in engineering and engineering technology. The Panhellenic Association is a self-governing body, representing 20 women's fraternities and sororities at Purdue University. Panhellenic is composed of 5 executive board members, 7 directors, 4 associate board members, and the Presidents/Delegates Council. We strive to promote academic excellence and involvement in all aspects of sorority life. With over 135 years of history, the Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma continues to set the standard for all fraternities at Purdue by producing men of the highest caliber.
