I have a 2018 High Country when it was new it had the shift to park issue and was told by the Dealer, they replaced the whole shifter. The car has 26000 miles.The shift to park "message" issue actually started out on the Malibu and Camaro (?) before even the Acadia a few years ago. The same basic shifter "cartridge" design is used on several GM vehicles. . .. possibly most as models are refreshed apparently. The initial fix was for a service tech to "flick" the shifter switch button 50 times : hno:Acadia owners say the vehicle does not recognize when it is in Park. Owners push the shift lever into “P” and once the problem occurs they continue to take it in and out of Park. Going through this process still does not fix the problem.
