The last few years I have been using the Grim Reaper Pro Series 1 3/8" with no issues, but the Sevr looks interesting as well as the Rage Trypans. Its smooth enough and noticeably faster than the Adapt. The Alaskan also has a little more feedback/vibration than the Adapt. Honestly, if that's your price range, you couldn't really go wrong with either. Most of the Bears I've sold is the Resurgence (Alaskan in a RTH package) but the Adapt is doing quite well too.

I prefer Victory arrows because they come spine alligned. Affordable is subjective, but the Vforce “sport” (.006) is running 39$ for 6 fletched and cut to size on Ebay. $20 more for the Vforce “gamer” (.003).I tested TAC, Silent Night, Xvanes, AAE, and X3 (smaller) all against each others in similar 4 fletch groups by size category (relatively same length) and couldn't get more than 4fps delta between the heaviest and lightest.
