The pistol has evolved into a much larger platform, i.e., XMacro, but is still easily concealable. So from what I understand the benefit of the X-Macro slide is, in theory, reduced recoil and faster follow-up shots. The benefit of the XL slide is the 0.6 inches more on the barrel, giving the rounds better performance.Combine that with the 1/4 inch the magazine extends past the bottom of the grip module and it makes the X-Macro roughly 7/16 inch taller than the P365XL or 15/16 inch taller than the P365.
