I've changed the fuel pump, and spark plug.Attachments. 17mm socket on the drain plug and make sure you do not over tighten it, it will break the case. Another thing is pay attention to the oil filter, you do not want to install that backwards or it will not flow oil. The 318 of the VIN has me baffled and warranty was not submitted on my system.The clip is on the throttle needle. Remove the 4 screws on the top of the carb and pull out the throttle plunger. Use a philip screwdriver and insert it into the holder (middle of slide) and give it a 1/4 turn and remove the holder. 2004 TRX500FA Sounds like it's starving for fuel. New to the forum, thanks for having me. Bike has been sitting for about 2 years. I just put a brand new OEM Carb on it, fresh non ethanol gas, cranked right up, ran it around slowly at first, did about a 1/2 mile ride of my property perimeter and everything seemed fine.

I have taken the take off twice, taken the carberator off twice and cleaned it. I even brought it to the honda shop and they replaced the needle valve and it still leaks. Bike has been running fine but today left me afoot. It has good fire as it will fire off with starter fluid but won't continue to run. full fuel tank, full oil level but just grinds away when hitting the starter. I am thinking not getting fuel and may be the fuel pump. Air filter is a little dirty but wont start even when it is removed.

I have a fuel filter on my fuel line and I will get fuel for about five minutes and then I will stop getting fuel to my filter.
