In the olden days, I'm certain the majority of the cars and trucks on the road NEVER got a rear diff fluid change. Most of which, after many many miles and years of service, were hauled to the scrap yard due to other failures. The rear ends in these modern, all wheel drive cars and SUV's are much more complex.The Ridgeline doesn't have a conventional differential in the rear. It has an iVTM-4 unit that has more in common with an automatic transmission in that it uses hydraulically-actuated wet clutches, solenoids, an electric hydraulic pump, and pressure sensors and overdrives the rear wheels by 2.7%, so constant clutch slip is by design.I had 3 CRV's and a Ridgeline so there's a case or 2 of DPSF lying around. I change the rear diff every 15-20 thousand miles. It's really easy on the PP with the ground clearance. I changed the fluid in my rear differential the other day and I used HGO-1 75W-85 Honda Fluid (082000-9014) instead of the Dual Pump II fluid (08200-9007). Am I in trouble? Should I drain it and put the 08200-9007 fluid in or am I good for the next 15,000 miles?
