Is charles daly a good shotgun.
Many different guns have been imported under ;the Charles Daly name and I do not know if all the Italian guns were as good as the one I had. It worked well and held up well for the time I had it. The era of mine they were about 500 or so new with fixed chokes and a bit more with screw in chokes.

Charles Daly and the company that owned them is out of business. Over the last several years they did import some pretty good guns. However if you buy one now and ever need any parts for it, you may just need to make a floor lamp out of it. It might make a darn good looking floor lamp though. If the price was right I'd shoot one for a while.

I think I've narrowed it down to a Mossberg 930 or Charles Daly. I shoot left handed and these seem to be good entry level guns that accomodate a left handed shooter (Moss has a thumb safety)I am in the market for a cheap reliable knock about 12 ga and originally was going to get a standard Moss 500 or Maverick 88 but while at the gun shop I noticed the Charles Daly 301 and 335. They are made in Turkey as many shotguns are these days and I assume they are the same pump guns being sold by CZ which are also made it Turkey.
