I have been looking at some Case IH 496 as well, I'd like to know the pros/cons of the JD disks vs Case IH disk as well.

Had to run B-1 or A-3 to pull on the hills, 3.5-5.5 mph. For the first five years it lived as a 9 shank behind a Massy 1805 (200 hp). We used it 3 years behind our John Deere 8960 (370 hp) and now bought a John Deere 510 5 shank. Disc chisels have there place and where I am is not one of them.
