Sounds like a job for Smasher to me. He should have been hunting you down throughout the campaign, driving you underground or into the desert with the nomads for protection. Not only are you against the clock trying to stop the shard killing you, but all the time you are being hunted by this unstoppable biomechanical psycho that was thought dead.
