We go to St John at least twice per year and stay in the Bordeaux Mtn or Coral Bay areas. Lots of breeze there to keep bugs off, but still a lot of mosquitoes and no-see ums. We took a spray this year called Sawyers Insect Repellant with 20% picaridin and had fewer bites. I think the DEET only works well for mosquitoes.2. Re: best place for a sunset. 2 years ago. Save. Most places were fairly churned up so viz was bad all week. The most favorable conditions were Francis to Maho, and Leinster to Anaberg. It’s wide open and very secure. There’s also where the old lumberyard used to be that has a big lot.
