If there is free space in Storage buildings, you don´t need to howl the wood or food to storage, just don´t oversupply your storage.

Villagers not working. I have 1 hunter, 1 gatherer and 1 lumberjack. They have been steadily producing what I assigned them. Currently, my lumberjack and gatherer are standing around. Villagers will not fill buckets/skins from rivers/lakes, so if you don't have the well you will have to do it yourself.
