Realistic face overhauls? So I’ve been in the process of modding my Skyrim SE and one of the pieces I’m stuck on atm is npc faces. There’s tons of face mods on nexus but they all seem to have similar goals which is either flawless beauty, or anime style. To each their own but it’s not really the vibe I’m going for.

Take note of where the WICO esps are right now in your load order for backup reference, then try moving the WICO esps to the bottom of your load order and see if the black faces are still there. #1.
Secondly, load everything in SSEedit and find the npcs that are getting grey face in Skyrim.esm or maybe one of the WICO plugins inside the non-player character section, and see which mod overwrites them. It is most likely one mod thats conflicting with WICO, which is loaded after. Might be one of the armor mods.

PSA: If you are using WICO, you can't complete certain quests (Fix inside) So apparently WICO's creator disappeared 2 years ago and left us with a bug where you can't kill certain NPCs. In my opinion, WICO is the only mod that significantly improves on the vanilla NPCs without making everyone look too pretty.
