My advice is to go down Manitou Ave. until you find the funny sounding Smischny Lot at $10 for six hrs. The other lots are very expensive. From that lot walk back past the round-about to where the fountain is. The Cog railway station is also a great place to hike up to the top in only a few hours. If it's a nice day, bring another SD card for the photos. I have only taken the train to the top once and lucked out all the way up and down. I took about 140 pics with 50-55 being keepers.
