Dr. Price is extremely unorganized, and students suffer from it. The entire semester is spend working on 1 project to annotate a gene, and he only spends 1 day going over the programs you need to know for the project. He is not very accessible outside of class, but he will help you once he responds.

This class is hard but fair for a lab. His lab reports are very applicable and he does a great job explaining before each lab. BUT- the final is very difficult, the average in my class was 68% and the high was 87%. Just study and you'll be fine, understand it isn't an easy lab final and you'll have to study for it (almost) like a 3 credit final.

Professor Austin has easily been the best teacher I've had at UVU. He is incredibly engaging and personable, he knows how to communicate with students, and he's very fair when it comes to assignments and grading.
